Who can donate blood?
Anyone:
- in good health;
- aged 18 or above (please note: the first blood donation must take place before the day of your 66th birthday. Beyond your 66th birthday, making a blood donation is permitted only if your previous donation occurred less than3 years ago);
- weighing at least 50 kg;
- who does not pose a risk of transmitting an infectious disease.
In addition to the basic criteria listed above, there is a whole series of contraindications which may see you temporarily or even definitively disqualified from giving blood.
